poster design

Description

Film Fest München is one of the largest and most influential film festivals in Germany. The corporate design of FFM changes every year, and as a designer, it is always exciting for me to see the new posters. So, I decided to take on the challenge of redesigning the logo myself. I wanted to create a fresh and modern design that would stand out and effectively represent the film festival.

For this project, I painted a woman, a man, and a cat using acrylic paint and then scanned the resulting images. I wanted to add more dynamism to the composition, so I used Photoshop to edit the images.

The overall theme of the piece is „screen and scene.“ I wanted to convey the idea that movies are like a person‘s life being played out on a screen, with each scene representing a different moment in their story. To visually represent this concept, I painted the objects squeezed into a rectangle, symbolizing the screen.

This project allowed me to combine traditional painting techniques with digital editing tools and explore different ways to convey a message through art.
